I was thinking - if there are any of you out there that are cancer, lupus, leukemia or otherwise, we could put together a team of "survivors" for the TM in KY in the Fall. Please let me know if you…Continue

It will be my first Tough Mudder but I generally do traithlons. Wanted to try something new.
Funny. I have a great friend that can take really good photos. LOL
I am doing Vermont. I'm signed up for Sunday at 9 am. I'm currently looking for a team. You should come up!! What's your background? You look really fit!
Clayton Rose said… Caroline I bow in ore of you beating cancer and turning your life around by being positive and you certainly look fighting fit, this is my first tough mudder this year too 2012...it looks not only physical but a lot of mental stuff too, which I know you have!
You are an inspiration Caroline, after the tough mudder in Sydney Australia in September I am raising $10,000 with my wife in the Conquer Cancer Ride in October where you ride 200 km with thousands of other people doing the same thing, humans are amazing with big hearts!
Paul Taylor said… Caroline,
Yes, the tree climb was scary as once you reach the top and have to climb onto it the wind is moving it about a foot each way. That isnt the problem though, the next guy is already climbing up and the only way he can get on is to climb up me!!
Great event for a laugh though. Getting down was not a problem - lot quicker than going up - maybe 2 seconds at most. Good idea those safety lines.
Paul
Thanks Caroline. I try to add a little levity to them...can't be too serious when talking about these kinds of things!
Clayton Rose said… Caroline the dinner party was really great, my wife and I had a couple over who are probably the two best Tango dancers in Australia, really interesting to talk to ...they have a passion and that is dancing, just like I love motorbikes and my wife (Kylee) her passion is cycling. I think it is really important to have some form of passion in your life no matter whether you are single, married or have children...if you dont you are letting life go by with out experiencing some thing just for you or even if you are sharing it with someone, we are on this planet for a short time really and we should be doing what we love and what makes us happy!
Geez I went off the track there....sorry, anyway I made some dips to go with so Afghan bread, this chicken dish which is Chicken and yogurt encased in saffron rice and served with fresh herbs, dessert was Rhubarb cream...tasty!
Had some nice wine to go with the evening too!

Just a note to say thank you to all of the folks at Tough Mudder for a challenging, yet rewarding, event this weekend. We all so appreciate you being out there on two of the coldest days in the Southeast this year. Shaun was his usual, inspiring self, and it was an honor to meet him in person and talk about his conversations with war vets that have been touched by the Wounded Warrior Project. Parking was great thanks…

1:45 am Sunday, February 12, 2012: I woke up out of a dead sleep just now and was pumped at the thought of doing one of these Mudders again. What an amazing experience for the soul. The camaraderie of my team, of their families, of my team with others, and the entire Mudder family was awesome. Beyond my expectations. The obstacles as tough as I expected....but weather not as all as I expected......
Our day in GA was not ideal. The…
